(DC-ANSP) DC-ANSP serves as the air navigation service provider for the Curaçao flight information region (FIR), boasting over 18 years of experience in guiding aircraft through the skies, ensuring seamless landings and departures, and overseeing efficient air traffic management in the Curaçao FIR. Additionally, we take pride in our role to publish aeronautical information such as aeronautical charts covering the six islands of the Dutch Caribbean and issue flight plans and Notice to Airman (NOTAM).

Purpose of the position:
To ensure safe air traffic around military and civilian aircraft near airports, and to streamline traffic flow for arrivals and departures at Curaçao and Bonaire airports.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Ensures adherence to prescribed separation standards among airborne aircrafts near the vicinity of the airport, as well as among ground movement of Arriving and Departing aircraft at the airport;
  • Issues instructions, clearances, and pertinent information to pilots;
  • Takes action in the event of impending conflict situations, offering immediate instructions to maintain separation and safety;
  • Uses automated systems to register necessary Data of aircraft movements and to coordinate with other ATC units;
  • Collaborates with various stakeholders, including the airport fire department, airport police, and other internal and external stakeholders;
  • Supports the process of information exchange during emergency situations with all relevant stakeholders.
